Yesterday, when Linda and I got home (no engine cut-outs on the way home, BTW, Charlie), I noticed oil dripping from my oil pan. So I tightened that big 4" drain plug. Still dripping. So I went ahead and changed the oil, put a thicker o-ring on the plug (an old fuel tank o-ring), and tightened it down. Still dripping. And it's definitely coming out in the region of the drain plug. My only guess is that I have a leak there. I'm going to take a closer look this weekend, and try to fix it. If I can't, I may be looking for another oil pan.
If it ain't one thing, it's another.

Did you recheck your codes to see if any more were set regarding the stalling?
If you have the old O ring, you might be able to find one at Grainger. The Don found one for Anne's car that goes behind the rear main seal.

I found the leak. Back when I rebuild my engine, I noticed some RTV around the lip of the big drain hole, and cleaned it off. Well, it turns out I shouldn't have, or should have replaced it with something. The previous owner had apparently had to remove the drain plug with a big pipe wrench around the outside of the plug, and the wrench dug a hole in the lip. It must have still had a little bit of RTV in it, which finally came out.
I put JB Weld on it, and will put the oil back in tomorrow to see how it worked. I really don't want to have to change the pan -- a real drag.

Pat, if you still have the leak let me know.. I have stuff here we seal the fuel tanks of our aircraft with, put it on and it will outlast the car...... Jerry
