The Fiero is mentioned  ;D

Blurb states:
TOYOTA MR2
With a Supra successor already in the works, it's time for Toyota to bring back another beloved sports car—the MR2. Really, though, we'd love to see the return of the affordable mid-engine sports car in general. Fiat just revived the 124 Spider, but what about the X1/9? And even though Pontiac's gone, GM could still totally bring back the Fiero.

General Fiero Discussion / Fiero Humor
« on: August 21, 2016, 11:33:33 am »
With respect to the Fieros cargo space:

Asked my wife if she'd like to take the Fiero to COSTCO....

She said, "Sure, but we'd have to go again". ;D

Anyone else have Fiero Humor?

General Fiero Discussion / 1.6 Rockers - Are they worth it?
« on: May 16, 2016, 09:25:00 pm »

Sometime this year I need to replace my valve stem seals.  So the question is: What else should I do as long as I'm already inside the engine?

One suggestion is replacing the 1.5 rockers with 1.6 rockers.  Has anyone done this?

What's the change in HP/torque?  I've heard about 3HP, which is about a 2% gain for our 2.8L.
Will there be a performance change?
What's the change in MPG?  I'm not a big fan of visiting the gas station, so this is a concern.
Does the engine sound louder or quieter or smoother?
Would 1.6 rockers put more stress on the engine?  I'm not a big fan of spending time in the repair shop.
Where should I get the rockers?  Fiero store or my local auto supply shop?

Sound off Fierofolks...

General Fiero Discussion / Has anyone seen your Fiero today?
« on: May 09, 2016, 09:16:27 pm »

This topic is meant to be a place for you to share compliments you've received on your Fiero.  Kind of the flip side of the topic: "Have you seen a Fiero today".

General Fiero Discussion / Fiero Reliability from Consumer Reports
« on: April 15, 2016, 09:52:38 pm »
Found Consumer Reports on-line from 1991 & 1993.  They actually gave the Fiero good reliability scores for an American car.  Even recommended '88s as good used cars.  $3500-$4000 for a 4, $6000-$7000 for a V6, both automatics  :-\   Prices haven't changed much since then...

The Market / '84 Indy in Elberton $1200-$1500
« on: February 29, 2016, 03:20:50 pm »
Just spoke with Craig at C&C Coachwork in Elberton.  He has an '84 Indy he's planning on taking the transaxle and motor out of for another project.  He's selling parts, but is willing to sell the entire car - with transaxle and motor still installed - for $1200-$1500.

Says it runs and went through all the gears.

Ate Six 4.  Nine 9 Too. Won Seven 66.

This is the car f85gtron and I saw on our way back from Sonic.

Save a Fiero!  :)

Club News / Benefits of Donating a Car
« on: January 21, 2016, 06:42:55 pm »

What financial benefits does a donor receive when he/she donates a Fiero to the Club?

Can they take a blue book/NADA charity deduction that tax year?  Or do they have to wait until the Club sells the car?

General Fiero Discussion / New Fieros????
« on: December 08, 2015, 09:11:57 am »
Or is the plural Fierii?

It is now legal to build new cars that were produced at least 25 years ago.

Anyone want a brand new 1988 Fiero with V-8, 6-speed, and a glovebox?
