General Fiero Discussion / Re: 2017 FIERO /Grassroots Challenger

I keep looking at this Paint and as Bright as the Top Coat Looked in the Can It Has a Darkness to it, Not a Burnt Orange really but A Shade orTwo Darker than I thought. So For the center Stripe I am Going to attempt a Dark burnt butterscotch/greenish tint because I have some  of the color now and may just need some dark yellow/brown to mix what I'm seeing .

     Yes I Will,
O K, Well The Mitty Didn't Happen, For Me.
Dirk  told me Tuesday He had to Work Sunday and then A Day Later when I was Going to ask to Just Borrow his Truck His Girlfriend Wrecked it !  By then The Wind Died down and it was over.

The RPM is still Racing along at high 2000's so Sunday I took the Upper and Lower Inkake off and now I Know It Is From a 1988 style Corsica 3.1 and
that Could be the Short block Too ! I am Going to Hunt the Numbers today as I put it back Togeather with New Stuff (Gaskets) now that I Know What It Is.

The Paint is Finished , A Bit of Detail and some BRIGHT Color For the 18" wide Center Stripe(1.25 side stripes) Like a Green(spring, Neon , Electric,) some thing to POP against the Orange with  Black Roof, I have started Painting the side trim a Chrome silver and the Center (Rubber, not!) will be the Green I go with or a ruby red like the Pontiac Logo on the door post.Maybe just black on the rubber side but that is jus' Too much Black with this Orange. And Maybe White for a Stripe but that's Boring.  So who Has the Hip Decorators Eye.

If the smoke cleared do not worry unless it appears again. if the Detent is not adj. Correctly It Can Cause Trouble with the clutch Plates as they don't Shift with the lock up force they need and then they Wear. If It's as Simple as most GM cars It's Easy. If it's all hooked up Push in the Cable adj. lock and rotate the throttle to wide open at the Injector not the pedal, then let go the lock then the throttle. that should be it.  Of course the Fiero is likely diff.

This is An Event, Included are antique Cars antique Race Cars, Modern cars
, also Thousands of People with One Thing on there Minds, SPORTS CARS. The Fiero is a Sports cars,  I Feel we as A Club Should be there ALL Week end to Promote our Club, The RFTH And a Dozen other EVENTS that WE as A Club Participate In.  IF THERE IS ANY ONE CLUB PROMOTING CARS, EVERYONE  HERE IS A CLOSET WALTER MITTY.

Mr. Hulse was a Advocate of our Cars And It Seems to Me The HULSE Should be as Much to Promote our Cars and Club and the 'Cruise" can be to the Mitty. Where we can Be around THOUSANDS of Like Minded People . Grassroots Will Get a Space( Corral) for Our Club and we Can Promote the Club and cars.  If we do not Go as a Club WE Are Missing a Huge Oppertunity.

       APRIL 27-29
I hope Ya'll can read past my wandering mind. but I find this a reason Why we are not a Larger Club, as In Going for a Ride to the Mountains instead of Auto Shows and EVENTS  We Need to Promote the Club!

They do this show pretty well, this year I was with the club at Mikes and lunch Today But last year I saw an All Original Avanti Un- restored so it looked Real, And a super Early A H that predated the 3000 but looked similar and had a special Engine that's Model escapes me. But that's what I like More than' New' Muscal Cars (67-72) but had fun at Mikes,

so Who bet on me breaking an Easy Out?.
