A few pictures of the "project" Mechanicals, Electricals, and Interior are done. Rebuilt and rehung the doors this week and now it's all bodywork and paint to go.....

General Discussion / Posting pictures with a MAC
« on: March 14, 2020, 01:14:53 pm »

I've searched the forum and found instructions for posting pictures with Windows but I have a MAC. Does anyone have a solution for MACs or android?

Lots of project / build pictures I'd love to share.

My project car did not have one because of the waterpump pulley. I'm running an electric waterpump so I can replace the wheel well liner.

Scott, I have a 120mph gauge cluster and aux gauge cluster with your name on it. I'll trade you! I'm ready on the clutch job whenever you want.

84-87 please. Not sure on the aero vs non zero. I will need to cut it up and modify it so I can probably work with either.

General Fiero Discussion / Re: Found a Previous Owners Registration
« on: March 05, 2020, 08:05:25 pm »
Just had a similar experience. Taking the dash out of my car a few weeks ago and I found an insurance card from a previous owner. Used Raydar's suggestion on using zabasearch, found a number, and had a great conversation with a previous owner of my car. He was the owner of Mera #14 and bought my car (nicknamed "The Beast" by his kids) as a fun beater car. Cool guy!

After the equifax data breach, my wife and I had our credit reports frozen. It completely eliminated the credit card offers. Wish I had a solution for the phone calls wanting to discuss my car's extended warrantee (that I don't and have never had)!!

Raydar, You are correct. The single piece rear seal is externally balanced on the rear end and the flywheel is weighted. The harmonic balancer is neutral.

I spoke with Archie for about half and hour yesterday, His flywheels were custom machined for his kits. Luckily, he still had few in stock so I grabbed one!

I've used lightweight flywheels in a lot of motorcycles I've built. I do like a fast revving motor!

My old chevy small block motor (Archie conversion with 5 speed) has a 2 piece rear main seal. The new motor has the 1998+ one piece rear main seal and I need a new 153 tooth flywheel to match the new crank.

Has anyone done this upgrade before and can you recommend a specific flywheel?
