General Fiero Discussion / Re: Suggested Pre-Dragon Maintenance.
« on: September 22, 2009, 12:18:22 pm »
Yeah, the run is over, but one tip for any type of run or road trip:

Don't do ANY invasive maintenance just before leaving.  (other than little things like wiper blades, light bulbs, etc.)  Make sure you can get at least a couple hundred miles of shake-down driving in after any maintenance before leaving on a road trip, unless there is something you know is unsafe - like squealing brakes, etc.

And always keep a spare ignition module in any 2.8 car.

The Market / Re: Mera Kit Ferrari 308 GTB car For Sale 85/87

Fiero based Ferrari kit car/ factory built This is NOT a cheap poorly built Kit but a factory built replica,  This car is not a numbered mera although it is a Mera body with all mera parts, lights, wheels accessories.

It's not a Mera, but it's factory built?  What factory built it?

General Fiero Discussion / Re: Have you seen a Fiero today?
« on: August 15, 2009, 10:58:53 pm »
It's kind of hard for me not to see a Fiero every day.  Yeah, I have mine, but my next door neighbor also has one, so between the two of us, we're pretty much guaranteed to see one or the other.   :D

http://www.tailofthedragon.com has an update on enforcement and areas running radar.  But for the most part if you stay in your lane and aren't crazy, you should be ok.  THP has a bug up their bum for bikers, so they're probably concentrating on them.   One thing THP has been very draconian about is crossing the center line.  If your tire even touches the line, they'll pull you and give you a ticket for crossing the double-yellow.

Pay attention.  Keep it in your own lane.  Don't be stupid.  Follow those suggestions, and I think everyone will be ok.  :)

I was just checking out the Tail of the Dragon site for the weekend of the run.
There's going to be S2000, Porsche, and Cobra groups all having runs that weekend.  Should be some nice cars out there with us.   8)

Yes, current GM recommendation is Synchromesh.
I run Royal Purple Synchromax in my '88 Formula and it shifts smoother than the 6-speed in my '00 Trans Am.

No minivans here.  If I can't bring my Fiero, I'll bring my '00 Trans Am.  At least it's a Pontiac.  8)

How do you feel about Fiero fans joining in on the fun without a Fiero?
