General Fiero Discussion / Re: Run For The Hills #16
« on: July 16, 2011, 11:13:22 pm »
I will not be able to make it on the 16th...don't have a car to bring at the moment, plan to have the vert back on the road by the end of the weekend (water pump).

23rd is currently planned to do mods to the Lotus and get it back on the road (suspension tuning to increase the front camber...Chris feels it is too practical the way it is).

31st would be best for me...but I can probably make it on the 23rd if that is what others want.

I assume we are going to ask Chris to stay out of the pic for the shirts?  If so, I ask that I get to be the first to make fun of him and tell him he isn't wanted.  After that, everyone else can just explain that he isn't good enough to be photographed with us.

I don't mind staying out of the picture.  It's kind of like the special olympics....fun to compete, but you don't really want photographic evidence....  ;D

Edit:  For those that don't know me, that was very tongue in cheek.....I like Fieros, but I like giving Greg a hard time more.

I am, unfortunately, going to have to back out of this weekend.  I've got some personal obligations that have come up at the last minute.  No, I did not hit another ground hog  ;D

Sorry guys  :'(

I'm coming.  I may be bringing Paul, aka Tha Driver with me depending on how his schedule fits with the run.

I should have the new clearbra on the lotus at the end of this month, should we plan something for early june for another scouting trip?

When are we planning the full RFTH event?

We are talking about tomorrow (this easter weekend).

Don...I don't have a system down, but I did have an issue last night trying to get gconftool-2 to execute from cron, but I solved that issue on my own by exporting the DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS environment variable from within the script I'm calling.  ;D

Can I also call you at all hours of the night with inappropriate questions?

If I can't....that's ok.  It's just good to get these things out of the way up front.

Ok, I'm going to be in Commerce GA about noon-ish.  What time/where should we meet up?  The map made it look like it was only about 45 minutes from Commerce.

I should have the Elise back this weekend.  It's down with Tha Driver right now, finishing up some paint from some work we did on it.  Are you planning on driving Saturday?  Or Sunday?  Greg and I can come down in the s2000, pick up the lotus, and greg, paul, and myself can join you for the drive.

Ironically, I plan to be in Georgia that weekend....but I'll be working on Elise fiberglass.  The weekend after that is tentatively free though, so if you guys let me know where you go, I can try some related routes and verify consistency.

Without having done any scouting yet, and looking at google maps....this area looks particularly fun

I wouldn't let him.....he shot down my idea for a "hello kitty" theme this year.

On a serious note, I'd be happy to help with scouting the route or any other aspects that would make planning easier.

I'm honored, but there are so many that do so much for the club, that the least I can do is pay some dues and help support the club.
