No problem. It was a learning experience for both of us. And it is knowledge I will likely use in the future because i am not done with Fieros.

I don't know of anyone there with a gold car, but if it's an 84, then it's a repaint.  That was an 86-87 only color.

Maybe they learned of his car from this forum and now they will visit with us.

I think many things other than the gold paint job were added to rhe car that weren't stock. Power everything was added, A/C was added, 3.4 v6 was added. The guy added a lot of things, but if you don't know fieros well you wouldn't know all that wasn't stock. From what I understand he used the gold paint from the 86-87 years as well. Seats are untorn in great shape, and very minor flaws at all. When they got my car I got the feeling that it will be on the road soon. They didn't know Fiero specific mechanics, but they knew general mechanics well. They definately have the money to get FIFI the help she needs. :)

Welcome Mike, it was good to meet you, and I personally love the indys, clean that one up and you could have a very nice car. Hope you dont have too much trouble with the parts and i wish you the best of luck with the car.

Big black harmless dogs unless your a bird or small game. Haha. Thank you! And it was good to finally meet someone I had been talking to over the internet and shares some common interests. (These crazy little cars).

Hey, not a bad idea. Whatever works I guess. Also, have fun with the dash.

the diagram is there. I no longer have those lines that run along the trunk wall. Evap delete was part of the 7730 tune. So i guess that isn't a problem either.

That's too bad, if you get that notchie and want to convert it to a fastback I have the perfect car with all parts necessary for the swap, and the rear bumper is already removed. ;)

Tell me about it. I double checked timing and spark when I got off the phone with you and all was good. Just doesn't make sense. I did notice that there isn't a vacuum line connected to the cannister by the air filter housing.though.

There is actually a thread on Pennocks about this issue. It involves removing the sending unit from the tank and sanding the resistor that the metal piece on the float arm opposite the float slides up and down on. You can use your ohm meter to check different spots. I believe 90 ohms is full, and 0 is obviously empty.

Coilovers pending sale, car price reduced to $1400

It was good talking with you Pete, and as I have previously mentioned the wiring and all should be fine considering the car ran good after the swap. I would love for someone to get FIFI running for the 87, but I have failed to mention I refer to it as a parts car, because it has no title. Fifi however has a good clean title. I have a few people interested in the coilovers and trueleo intake, so if anyone is interested in the car without those two items for $1200 shoot me a PM or give me a call at 912-618-0545. I am continuing to tinker with it, and will try a few things Pete mentioned on the phone and continuously update FIFI's Progress.

Still available, come help me get the 86 running and take the 87 home with you as well as any other parts I have laying around.

Both cars still available. At promised price. I have a trueleo intake, kyb coilovers in the rear, a 7730 swap, and many new parts on the car. Someone should be getting a heck of a deal. Or, what if I offered someone my 87 and any other parts I have to help my get my 86 running? I would still need to sell it, but it would probably sell easier of it runs.
