General Fiero Discussion / Re: Have you seen a Fiero today?
« on: December 05, 2012, 10:20:14 am »
hmmm, hadn't seen that one before

WOW, so you are saying you no longer have a Fiero.
Getting out of it completely?
Dude! That's major!

\D

Yea, I let them know about the Club....

The guy that bought the GT is middle Easter and doesn't speak english very well. I don't think he will join. Didn't seem interested. The other SE I sold, he might but he's in College.

To say I completely out. NEVER. If a deal comes along, I'll be back. I run across them all the time. I really sold it only cause the guy was interested. I never thought it would actually sell. But I need the money right now anyways so it came at a good time.

I sold the Fiero GT Friday for $2500....

I was there on Spectator Hill.
There was a Silver Fiero with Black Mesh wheels in the parking lot on Spectator hill. It was a awesome race

I finally got around to fixing my exhaust. My rear exhaust manifold had beep making that common Pap, pap, pap noise when excellerating. I thought it was the gasket but I took off the manifold and found not only was the gasket trash but the manifold was cracked twice on the driverside port. I finally had a reason to pull out my new welder and try it out.

I drove it to work this morning. WOW! I must say, the car doesn't vibrate, doesn't sound like a worn out glass pack and it has more pep and smooth acceleration. It's a new car. Very proud of my fix

General Discussion / Re: Ok, but why

There most be something in this because if the government is buying the underground shelters , I don't think the Millions of dollars would be spent if nothing is coming.
Some one knows something and they ARE NOT  telling anyone else.
I don't know about anyone else But I really want to find out.
Hey it might be crap but if its true i want to be ready

Although I understand what you saying, just because the Government does something doesn't mean it will actually happen. Many Government ventures never come to fruition. That being said, it could be exactly as you are thinking, it could indicate something IS going to happen. So take it with a grain of salt.

Either way, since this date is 12/21/2012, it's VERY close to prepare for. I can't bury a bomb shelter in 2 months. No $$$. I will buy some canned food and get some money out and maybe some more ammo, but mostly I will just believe that God will watch over my family and the rest is up to him.
I've survived a Brain Tumor and still getting on, I will be fine. LOL!

Dec21, 2012 is supposed to be a Solar Blast from the Solar System . Also the end of the Mayan Calendar, if you believe in that.
I think there is some weight in the Solar Flares or solar blasts.

Mayan Calendar, I am a little skeptical but it's coming up. It's not a day sometime in the distant future, 80 years away. It's this year, so just before Christmas, we might meet our end or maybe just some sort of extreme situation.

Personally, I am will have some $$ on hand and canned foods. Other than that, if it's our time to go, it's our time to go.

I really reminds me of Dec 31st 1999. The end of the world. All the Computers would die and our infrastructor would crash. That time came and nothng happened.

I'm not totally sure on what to think, but I will have some previsions - to the best of my ability and $$$ situation. I will have my generator working but I worry about Fuel availability. I will pull some cash out of the bank to have on hand, but no amount will ever be enough if it's a long time without power. ATM's and banks run off power. Canned food will be a must. I Plan to buy more.

General Fiero Discussion / Re: Tinted Notchie Tail Lights
« on: September 29, 2012, 06:09:53 am »
Yea, I have been messed with for my Infiniti tails and they are only covering the parimeter of the tail light. the actual lights aren't covered. Warnings don't hurt.
Usually they don't bother me. My GT's are super dark and no one has taken a second look. THey look like they were built that way from the un-trainied eye

The Market / Re: LED replacement bulbs for Fieros
« on: August 31, 2012, 06:40:01 am »
I replaced all mine a while back. They look awesome!
The thing with the blinkers and markers is that you need to replace the blinker relay with a digital one from Advance or Autoparts for about $12 so it blinks correctly.

Before I replaced the relay my blinkers would not blink anyways, so the digital relay worked to correct the blinker issue anyways. :-)

Saw a Indy up in Dalonaga, GA this weekend. It was parked in front of a old service station. Looks driveable.

General Fiero Discussion / Re: Best way to drain gas tank???
« on: August 22, 2012, 06:58:08 am »
After it sitting. The best way is to drop the tank and open it up. I, personally, would replace the fuel pump. If not it will most likely fail shortly. The pump is apprx. $30 and easy to replace. You can also get any trash or rust out of the tank before running it through your engine

You can see one of my fuel pump replacements here http://gafieroclub.org/bbs/index.php?topic=744.45
It was nasty. This car was sitting for 8 years.

General Fiero Discussion / Re: Laying vinyl on my 86 GT
« on: August 10, 2012, 06:05:52 am »
It's not very hard to lay on flat surfaces. The worst of it is molding across and around corners. Once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. I get better at it every time I do it.
