WTB - Temperature switch for gauge with pigtail
« on: January 13, 2012, 07:57:04 pm »
I'm having a hard time finding the ts-168t temp switch for Shanine's Duke. PO installed a fan switch in it's place with the wrong connector spliced in, so obviously, the temp gauge isn't working. Dean enlightened me that this is a common problem and showed me the correct switch.
I think they are identical on the Dukes and 2.8s
So I actually need both the switch and the connector
If anyone has them for sale, please LMK

Thnx

I'd suggest an AC/Delco or NAPA unit.  Tell them you want an American brand.  I've had to return to all the parts stores the brands that were made or assembled outside the US.  I've found BWD (Borg Warner) to be the least dependable.  NAPA's Echlin brand usually is domestic, plus they have another US made brand that I can't remember the name.

Call Aerodonamic early Saturday morning.  I believe he said he had an extra harness when I got one from him.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

There is one (I think it's the right one) on my friend's '88 Duke here. $5 with the pigtail if you come take it off.  ;-)
