88 GT Search
« on: June 15, 2012, 04:00:08 pm »
Hello,

Been snooping around(learning) for a while and have come to the conclusion that I would like to buy a 88 GT. I currently have a 83 Porsche 928 with about 73,000 miles(not a daily driver) that I have had a great time working on it and driving. Would like to sell or trade and get into a 88 Fiero GT with under 100,000 miles. I am seeing a couple real low mileage machines in the Atlanta area, but need to see what I can get for my 928 first. I will be joining the club and just missed the meeting last weekend..out of town. Thanks, to Don for his initial help and I hope to meet up with the group at some point.

Anyone going to be a Year One Car show(Braselton) tomorrow night? I am thinking of parking the 928 in the show with a For Sale sign. Would love to take a good look at any Fiero at this point.

Thanks,

Michael Murphy

Mike, I'm next door to you in Auburn.  One of our former members has 2 extremely nice 88 GT's for sale.  Very low mileage cars, too.  I think one is an automatic and the other is a 5 speed.  They are garage kept and well taken care of.  One is red, the other is maroon.  LMK if you might be interested in them.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Thanks! I will get back to you after the 928 is sold. What kind of Fiero do you have? Michael

Hi Jwrape,

I have seen that car online..very nice! I need to sell the 928 before I start the hard search, but I will keep it in mind. Thanks!

Michael Murphy,
You're welcome to take your 928 on this weekend's scouting run, if you think it's up to running with Fieros. ;)
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

TopNotch, I am going to meet you guys at your meeting point and then head to a nearby car show with 928 For Sale. The 928 is so big and heavy it hates the tight and curvy stuff. Can't wait to run a Fiero through the GA mountains!  ;D
