Question on Amazon internet security

Has anyone ever had an issue with Amazon internet security when buying DVDs?

i use amazon all the time. no problems. A general rule about internet security, during the checkout (or any other internet traffic), is to look at the navigation bar, if it shows https:// not http:// . the "s" indicate that the traffic to that site is in encrypted and if it was intercepted by someone, it would seen as garbled randomness

You may not see the https:// until you start to check out and get into the pages where you start to give personal information.  It's possible that it might be on the page showing the product, but that's not a problem because all they have is your IP address at that point.

This is also a good check for those emails you get with a link from whomever corporation... hover over the link and you can better if there is no https its a scam.  Though I basically as a rule of thumb NEVER follow any emails likes from supposed "accounts" of mine needed updates and such... the whole click here and update thing I don't trust
