What are those plates on top of the '88 struts called?

The parts book calls it a Rear Suspension Strut Mount.  There's a second part called Rear Spring Seat (Includes Studs).  Some people refer to "Hats" when they speak of the parts at the top of the strut.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Yes, the "hats".  Ixve been trying to find that part, but what I found doesn't look like what I was expecting to find.

I have a pair of 14,000 mile rear 88 springs with some hardware stored away.  I don't know what the hardware is.  It's been a while and I'll have to dig them out.  Are you looking for a part for your car?

I don't think those are the pieces with my springs.  You might try Raydar.  He's the guru of 88's.  He may have an extra pair.

Those are the upper spring perch. (Or whatever they're called.) The hats. They are fixed to the strut plate.
I might still have a pair of them. Will have to look and see.

I don't know why mine couldn't be restored.  I was told they're too thin.

Too thin? All they are is stamped sheet metal. They just keep the spring in place. Don't really support any load.
