Factory car alarm
« on: May 09, 2018, 07:34:40 pm »
I drove an '86 GT that had what appeared to be a factory alarm.  There was a key-operated thing back by the gas door release, inside the car.  Other components were inside the engine compartment.  The owner didn't want to test the alarm, and had never used it.  The bezel fit in perfectly.  Anyone else see anyghing like this?

The Fiero really didn't have a lot of options.  Mostly suede seats and premium sound for the interior.  Wing or luggage rack for the outside.  It might have been a dealer installed feature.  Possibly even using Pontiac-Branded key fobs and the like.  Placing the key access in the B-pillar doesn't sound like something GM would do.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

It used the door key.  I have no idea how it would operate.
