I think Pat spent Thursday and Friday polishing everything on his Fiero from the windshield back.  Not that the front of Pat's Fiero isn't clean, but I never saw him touch the front, as far as cleaning goes.  Pat's solution for the T-Top seals is very unique.

Mike's Fiero is just beautiful, and the splitter is very distinctive.  A number of people took note of that splitter.

Lloyd's Fiero is nice, except for that screw someone put in the side of the shift surround.

Someone with a sense of humor came up with the idea of having participants choose their favorite 40 Fieros.  I got through about 8 non-stock Fieros before sunburn set in, then turned in my voting card, without getting to the stock Fieros.  There were 228 Fieros there, I believe.

After seeing how the awards went, I don't feel badly.  Non-stock Fieros aren't even considered for many of the awards.

There was one that I saw in a PFF thread that really got my attention.  Never heard of it or anyone doing anything like that.  It was a blue chop top.  But that's not the uniqueness.  It had a SuperCharged SuperDuty.  That's got to be wild.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Do you mean the burnt orange colored Fiero?  Gary Wilson's custom Fiero, with plate FIERO?  I'm not sure if that's what's in his Fiero or not.  I didn't really get time to look at his engine.  I know it's an SD4.

I was wrong.  It's a white notchback.  Might be that one with the yellow front end and scissor doors.

Roger, I did bring one of those manuals you were interested in seeing to the 35th, on the off chance that you were there.

While I was at the 35th, I found out that there is a new version of the Fiero Enthusiast's Guide, version 4.0.  This is not pictured on the Fiero Focus, midwest Fiero clubs store, or TFS web sites.  If you're going to purchase this, be sure to get the latest version.

These are not quite the actual questions on the survey:
  • What merchandise would you like in your goody bag, next event?
    Fred's Fiero collection.
  • What was your favorite part of the 35th show?
    The shade.
  • Did you attend the xxx event?
My body did.  When I walks, I walks; when I talks, I talks; but when I sits down, my mind falls asleep.
  • Did you volunteer?
Yes, I volunteered my wife.  Gee, I wish I could have helped more...
  • What would you have done differently?
Replaced my shoes prior to the event.
  • Was the judging fair and unbiased?
    They assured me it was.
  • Did you find everything OK?
Not everything, but the things for which I was looking.
  • How was classification?
When they gave me the genius species, I knew things were looking up.
  • Did you enjoy the nightly activities?
I enjoy my sleep as much as the next person.
