Most people have July 4th celebrations with family, but that would be a good time to get together.  I can get a pavilion here in Auburn that has a grill and ample parking space.  As a resident and City Board Member, I may be able to get it for free.  July 4 falls on Thursday but the city is celebrating with their big fireworks show, either the Saturday before or the Saturday after so meeting day would probably be available.

Before anything else, there would need to be a firm committment for attendance by a reasonable number of people.

Yes, because the club usually buys the meat and buns.  Members bring side dishes.
