I'm going to have to get some branch support poles for my peach trees...

Dad never had to support his.  The peachtree limb is pretty limber and resilient.  That's why they were so revered as switches for keeping the little children in line.

I pruned my tree this year and checked it earlier in the week and it doesn't have Peach One on it.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

We never supported ours, either, but fruit trees are notoriously weak.  After we cut down a peach tree, 4 of us got into it and rolled the tree around by wakling through the branches, though.

I had a branch break a year or two ago. And the ones that drag the ground get bugs. I'm getting poles.

The orchards use stakes and ropes.
