Production engine?
« on: April 23, 2020, 08:19:10 am »
I tried the Fiero trivia, last night, but got a wrong answer on one of the questions.  What were the available production engines?

Either the 2.5 L or the 2.8 L.  There were no Super Duty engines installed in a production car and there were no factory V8's, either.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Well, you'd have been in my boat.  The SD4 was the answer.

Well, you'd have been in my boat.  The SD4 was the answer.

But the question was production engines correct? I agree that wasn't a production engine. Time to appeal the decision!

It was a production engine.  You could order it at the parts desk.

True, but I would consider a production engine being one that came installed at the factory.

Splitting hairs.  The trivia was fun.  I got to see new faces, and some old faces.

I did not argue.  I have discovered that arguing over this ensures it never happens again.  I like winning, but had no interest in the prizes--only the victory.  Winning this one point wouldn't have changed anything, and we were given a point I would not have awarded, had I been in charge.

Oh, it certainly was.
