Yes, in a couple of 87-88 motors and also in the pre-88 motors.  I have my own material that I use in the pre-88's that I like much better than the Viton rubber. 
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I'm wondering where to get a new set for an '88.

I was thinking front bump stops.

Sorry.  My bad.  I was wondering where on the engine there were bump stops.
