Difference between events and activities?
« on: August 14, 2019, 07:55:50 pm »
What is the difference between a Fiero event, and a Fiero activity?  Some things are billed as one, some as the other.

Probably interchangeable words, but to me an event is one that is centered around Fieros.  An activity is one that a Fiero participates in.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

Well, I participate 1 Fiero event per year.  This year, it was the Tyler Shipman Show.

I attended several Fiero activities, this year, being various club meetings.  Or were those events?

Uhhh ohhh sounds like you have breached the 1 event per year in the event vs activity confusion.

That would mess things up for a few years to come.

After having attended Fierorama in 2014, I told some people that we would attend Dells Run in 2015, Heartland in 2016, Fierorama in 2017, the 35th in 2018, and the Shipman show in 2019.  The people laughed at me, for planning ahead, apparently.  Well, I did what I said I would do, so I guess the laugh is on them.

Of those, only the Shipman show includes vehicles of other makes.  We did do other things, like a Fall color tour with the DeLorean crowd, a cruise with the Valley of Flowers group, and yes, several tech sessions.
