Battery Shelf repacement
« on: October 10, 2019, 03:35:26 pm »
In need of having the battery shelf replaced.  Wondering where a good place to go to get it installed.   Have parts will travel, at least not to far.....

Which shelf did you get, the TFS one, or a stock one?

Are you good with it?  My welding is not flat or smooth.

One of the cart wheels appears to be dragging.  If Tom Hanks' character in Apollo 13 was describing the cart's movement, he'd probably use the term, "wicked shimmy".

Is that 2 welders.  I know little about them.  We had an arc welder.  When it died, we got a welder that feeds wire.  I've seen the welders that take 2 tanks used, but never used them, myself.

That is an old Lincoln AC buzzbox on the bottom, not a very good machine but the price was right (given to me.) the top is an MP210 that does DC stick, wire feed, and DC TIG. I also have the spool gun attachment for welding aluminum. The tanks are C25 for the wire feed and Argon for the TIG setup

The wheels dont drag...... I just noticed where you got, the mark on the floor is from some cheap northern tool car skates. They wouldnt roll when a car was on them. I got to looking at them last spring and noticed the wheel axle holes were drilled off center. A quick fixture in the CNC mill, some new bronze bushings, and some new bolts have them rolling so well that I can move the Expedition with one hand. Just make sure the floor is clean, oil dry makes them stop quickly

Maybe that's a solution for my creeper.  The rubber wheels don't have sleeves.  They just run on the axel and after a while wallow out.  I can't find the style casters it uses, so it's either repair the casters or buy a new creeper.
