Oh, yes.  We can make appointments, but most shops are booked.  Many schedule 3 months out, meaning you need to schedule three months ahead of time.  Technically, my wheels are scheduled for Saturday, but I'm hoping the shop can squeeze the wheels in sooner.  I hate mounting tires (and am not particularly good at it), so guess I have to wait.  It is a difficulty for me to get to a shop between when I get off work and when the shops close.

Someone suggested pulling wheels off a truck in the junkyard, but not doing that.

The shops with no waiting are usually not shops I'd let touch my vehicles.

Sortof.  To get the tank, I need my truck.

Is it detrimental to the tank to remove the sending unit several times?  I can't drive my Fiero anywhere.

Probably the only thing harmed might be the O-ring seal.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

That can be replaced.  My Fiero is less fun when it can't be driven.

Well, it seems that Rodney is making reproduction gas tanks.  I'm supposed to be in the initial batch.  So, we'll see what happens.

Isn’t there two size tanks? 8 and 11???

Rodney is making only the larger size tanks.  With baffles.

The general consensus is that the tank capacities are 10 and 12 gallon with each having a usable volume of 8 and 10 gallon, respectively.  The larger capacity tank will fit into the earlier models with only a minor mod of the mounts.  I'm sure Rodney has worked all that out to make the installation as simple as possible.

It used to be, around 350 miles, Iwould fill up with 11.6 gallons of fuel.  It's getting even with me now, though.  Can't go anywhere.
