I thought about posting this in the Club News section since I know this car means a lot to several members, other than myself (Michael... I hope you are reading, since you seemed to have an interest in its well-being), but I ultimately decided to post it here.
The AeroDon Fiero now resides in Roopville GA, in non-airconditioned discomfort. (But it
is inside.)
MikeMac acquired it several years ago, in a rather sad state, and he - with some help from Ga Fiero Club folks - replaced the blown trans, and made a number of significant upgrades, such as coil-overs in the rear. Most of the really major stuff has already been done, but there are about a zillion little things that need doing. (Only so many hours in the day. I get it.) It also could use a repaint, but that's way down the list. As is, it's a good 20 footer.
Progress will be slow, as I still have a swap project ahead of it, and I'm still getting my shop organized.
With that said... The appearance of the car will remain largely unchanged. If it's repainted, it will be the same color. I may make some suspension changes but that will, by necessity, be done after my white coupe is swapped. (I'll have some goodies left over from the 88 coupe. All I'm gonna say about that.

I hope I can do it justice.
Tammy even told me that she was happy that I have the car, since Don was a good friend, and lived just a few minutes away from us. (This is certainly not to take away from Mike. It was in good hands with him, too. He definitely rescued it from a potentially shaky future.)
