Ok. The fiero is ready hopefully. Test drive went good. I'll be there in the morning. How many cars are going?

We had 8 after the cancellations.  Pics soon.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

A few pics...

And I brought a duke. Oh, well....

For some reason, they called our lunch stop the Juke Box Cafe.

Here's one from my room on the 5th floor of the hotel in Asheville. This is with my phone, so not as good at zoom shots as with a real camera.

Beautiful pictures, Paul and Toni.  Having lived in New England I always thought Mt. Washington was the tallest peak east of the Missisippi.  Maybe due to the extreme weather they have up there.  Didn't know it was Mt. Mitchell until one RFTH that it was on our route.  No one made it to the top, only to the parking lot as our schedule didn't allow.

Maybe in the spring you can lead us on a one day sightseeing trip.  No trails or hiking for us old folk, though.  Picnic On The Ground.

Yes, I did.  Picnicking in the Fiero is easy.  I have a long narrow cooler that Melanie gave me that holds about 9 cans of soft drinks and ice.  Fits in one side of the bottom of the trunk.  Other picnic supplies beside it or one can remove the spare tire, put soft drinks and ice in the front tub.  There's a drain as the ice melts.    Folding chair or two on top.  Pre-cooked hot dogs and hamburgers securely wrapped in foil can be placed on top of the V6 intake and would be nice and warm at lunch time.  Maybe even a pre-cooked steak or two.
