OCTOBER MEETING & SECRET SANTA CAR SHOW
« on: September 12, 2022, 08:41:01 pm »
The October 8 Club Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Secret Santa Car Show in Oakwood (Gainesville) Ga.  Exit 16, Mundy Mill Road.  Turn left and go 1/2 mile on the right.  University of North Georgia Gainesville Campus.  Even if you aren't showing, come out in support of the club and the fundraiser Secret Santa event.

Five of our members participated in the 2019 Secret Santa Car Show.  Had everyone shown up that was scheduled, we would have won the Club Participation Award.  I believe we missed it by only 1 car.  This is sponsored by The City of Oakwood, of which Budgetman72, Jason Spencer is employed.

If you will look at the 2019 gallery, you will see our cars as a backdrop for a photoshoot.  This car show is more in line with our cars than the Caffeine and Octane show since most of the vehicles are as old as ours.  And we aren't Chevrolet, Camaro, or Corvette.

Let Jason know if you will attend.  It's really a good show.

I have 2 cars that could be in the show, but I can't drive both of them. I don't know if my grandson will be working that day or not. I may need a driver.

As you can see, Steve made it.  A new one showed up, too,  Glad to have you aboard, Jamie.

'Tis the season.

'Tis the season.

I'm happy that Tegan finally caught up with Santa Claus. I was able to see him earlier, when he passed by in the Fire truck.

Jamie... Welcome to the fold. We hope you can stick around and become a part of the madness. :D
That's a beautiful car.

My pictures...

Reminds me of a song... "She's real fine, my 409"

A 1956 Chevy. I once had one, so I hope you don't mind a few pictures.

The way you put gas in a 56 Chevy is kind of unique.

They said there were 179 registered vehicles and 20+ more that arrived after the cutoff time,  so just over 200 cars.  $4475 raised thru registrations plus all the donation and sponsorship money will do a lot for needy families.  Budgetman has the numbers on that.  Its huge.

We had lots of interest with pictures and video-taking.  Though we won no awards, Steve really enjoyed the show and was glad he came after all.

Dont forget the Auburn and Dixie Cruisers shows coming up on October 23.
