TopNotch and Raydar have scanners that read sensor info from the ECM, but I believe you have to interpret the information output.

Although it's not nearly as descriptive as an OBDII scanner, it does give English language descriptions of sensor data and trouble codes. It also displays long and short term fuel trim (BLM and Integrator)
Alan.. look for an Actron (not sure what model) or AutoXRay scanner. I've got an AutoXRay 6000 scanner that will read OBDII and the original OBD.
I'll see if I can find something suitable. I'm thinking you'll want to stick to sellers within AU, or maybe NZ. Correct?
Edit - I looked in AU. Nothing really useful.
This one is in the US. It's the same make/model that I have. (This is a good price. They were like $700 USD, new.)
He says that it powers up (has pictures) but that he doesn't know how to use it, so it's untested. Bought from an estate sale.

https://www.boschdiagnostics.com/products/bosch-obd-1300Whatever you buy, make sure it's a "scanner" and not just a "code reader". A code reader is really no more useful than those metal keys (or a paperclip) that you stick into the connector in order to count flashes.
