Definitely not the correct battery.  Looks like the hold-down clamp won't even install.  The plastic heat shield that goes between the battery and engine won't install, either.  Also, it's a top post  Because of the grills, it should be a side post battery.

By the way, can anyone see the battery without logging in?  That's one of the problems I encounter when a third-party host is used to post pictures from a cell phone.

Guests should now be able to see attachments.  Please check again.

I can now see the image on my laptop and phone without logging in.  Now our non-registered guests looking for guidance can see a how-to thread or an activity thread that has a lot of pictures.

Thanks.

The battery post do clear the grill by a quarter of an inch. I know of the batteries with the post on the side but they are not available here.
I wanted to look for a set of injectors,  on ebay they seem to be in the $600 range. That's expensive,  then I have e to handle the shipping costs too.
The government has set up the shipping to be double the cost from previous t8me I got parts from the USA.

If you're still running the 2.8, look at the Standard Motor Products FJ9 injectors. That's what I'm running in my 86SE and they work great. I see the notation of Bosch, too.

Also, I just noticed something in the battery image.  It looks like the hot wire is burned.  Has it previously shorted on something?  It needs to be repaired.

Bosch injectors are fine, if that's what you need.

Do you use your spare tire? If not, I would recommend moving the battery to the front compartment. That way you don't have to worry about room or potentially shorting out the positive terminal with that battery.

Allen,  got your voice mail this morning.  Something about pipes under the manifold, so I'm guessing this was what it was about.

Finding a good set of plastic vacuum lines will probably be very difficult.  I have lines from several motors, but still not enough to make a complete set.  I would suggest that you save the rubber end pieces and order a set of stainless steel vacuum lines from Rodney Dickman
