Indy not shifting.
« on: January 13, 2025, 06:58:33 pm »
So the Indy has decided not to shift for some reason... While working on it recently I replaced the trans (TV?) cable as the old one was frayed. It is all hooked up & working correctly, but I'm wondering if the cable is just poor quality or the wrong length or some such crap as that. Anyone have any ideas? What will happen if I just dis-connect it? Will it shift early if that is the problem? What else could cause it not to shift? It's full of fluid & was working fine when driven before, but it sits for a while between driving it sometimes...
Thanks,
Paul

I've read where there is a procedure where you just grasp the tv cable near where it goes into the transmission and pull up on it.  That readjusts it.  Maybe someone else can confirm that or correct me.

3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers
