BTW, when you stripped out the 86 did you get the speaker mounting plates inside the B pillars?  There is an adapter of sorts that must be used.  The Lil' Duke Coupe didn't come with rear speakers so it probably doesn't have the adapter mounting plates.

Still need them? Turns out the lil' 84 Dukie (My wife's name for it  ;D) doensn't have the holes inside the pillars (in the metal under the panel), so I have the oval speakers AND the mounting plates.

Let me know.

Yes, I sure do.  I haven't gotten into it yet, but I don't expect the mounting plates to be there.  I've already upgraded the radio to one with an equalizer.  The PO had a Hitachi low end radio in it and they cut all the wires.   Kevin (88_4mula) came over and put all the wiring back together.

I sorted through my wheels and got the 4 with the best finish, had the nails removed from the tires, so now it's roadworthy, but the rear brakes are worn almost to their limits.  Got to install the new pads I bought.

ok, consider them yours
But look under the panels to see if the holes are cut into the metal, or you won't be able to mount speakers there.

All 86, 87, and 88 came with provisions for B pillar speakers.  Just the 84 and 85 that had speaker seats didn't have the cutouts.

you need to put about 13- 15 lbs of pressure on the system with a pump then you can get up under and find the leak

Thanks, but the leak has disappeared.
Also have corrected the electrical issue.
Seems that after the alternator was replaced, the radio started cutting out while driving, sometimes it wouldn't start and sometimes the starter was really stuttering or there was absolutely NO POWER AT ALL, no chime, no gauge lights, nothing, completely dead.
Wiggling the positive cable would restore power, so I jacked the car up, got underneath and checked the cable on the starter: Nut was completely loose. Tightened it up and problem went away.
All good now

Thank you to everybody that provided help and tips and hints, especially FieroFool, ThaDriver & Aerodonamic.

UPDATE:
After about 400 miles, still no leak and running nice and quiet.
High RPMs were due to a vacuum leak, hose replaced, fixed, idles at approx 1k, warm or cold

Dare I say she's ready for Tybee Island?  ;D

At the very least, for the club meeting on April 9.
