thinking of doing a motor swap.

A customer of mine owes me money.He want to trade me a 93 caddy with a 4.6l northstar in it for the money he owes.
is the northstar a good motor swap of a fiero? and if i do it,I'm gonna swap the dash out to.

It's a complicated swap, but it's been done. You may find some info on Pennock's forum.

One of the things about the Northstar after it's installed is that the front bank of plug are very difficult to change out because they're in the center of the valve covers.  I've heard tales of having to drop the rear of the cradle to tip the engine out from underneath the rear window ledge so they can access the plugs.

The Northstar is one of the more complicated swaps that you can attempt. You need to know how to weld and fabricate.
The cradle will need to be extensively modified. (Like removing 2/3 of the cradle's front crossmember and moving it forward. And that's one of the *minor* things that needs doing.)
The Northstar PCM is pretty much not tuneable. One of the guys on Pennocks devised a tune that will allow the Northstar to run on a 7730 PCM, but the last I heard it still needed work.
Whodeanie (who has done numerous 3800SC swaps and has an LSx swap on the drawing board) won't even consider doing a Northstar swap. He won't do 4.9s either, but that's a whole 'nother story.

welding and fab is easy... I was thinking if i do it is to use the caddy dash,wiring,pcm,everything i think i would need from the caddy. I think that would be the easy way to go.. plus I hate the interior of my fiero so...
