i still have the "88" but i hesitate to call it a driver.   it does run but it would not go into drive or reverse, i replaced the solenoid for the torq converter but when i started it up something went in the cooling system, either the heater core or radiater or hose's. if you try to run it it leaves a big puddle of anti freeze/water. at this point i don't plan on fixing it . if i do fix it i will be raising the price for the car. the car hasn't been used in approx. 5 years. so it should be gone over before any road use.

hey petefromtn i also have an 88 formula with a getrag 5-speed, the motors bad has a knock, i'll make you a deal you can have both 88's for $2500.00 and you'll have your stick-shift, everything will be 88 model year. what you don't need on the formula you can part out. or you could find another transmission for the formula. sounds like a deal to me. 88 gt with t-tops and getrag 5-speeds are the rarest of the fieros .  thanks- dewey (oldone)

I honestly was looking for a project but I really do not want to mess with swapping an auto to a manual. Sounds like a major pain in the ass to me.  If that GT T top is clean I may just live with the auto as I intend to go with a 3800 motor at some point and it seems like the autos are better for that anyways.  Can ya send me some pics of the white GT  including the interior?  What exactly is wrong with the car.  What works and what does not?   You can email me at PetefromTn@Gmail.com if you want. I am not saying I will buy it but I would like to see what you have.  Honestly I do not really care for the formula cars even tho they are rarer and nice cars. I would rather have a nice coupe with the GT nose. I guess it is just the GT nose that I like about this car.. Peace
