Anyone interested in a 4.9 swap "kit"?
« on: August 24, 2011, 08:50:29 pm »
SOLD!

So.......  I recently bought a 4.9/4T60e & a LOT of parts to swap it in. While I would REALLY like to put it in the T-Top, I've been thinking about it & I would rather use the money to get the VW project (or the pickup - I really need the pickup) running. You might have seen thread on PFF: here is the list of parts & prices they're worth.
1) Ed Parks harness kit with passkey module, speedo module, coolant outlet with temp sensor tapped, instructions, tach fix etc $700. < This is key to making the swap simple.  ;)
2) Rockcrawl front engine mount $65
3) West Coast Fiero 4T60e Transmission Shifter Adapter $120
4) Rodney's poly trans mounts $140
5) 2x ens 3-1108r energy suspension poly mounts $43.50
6) 1 ens-9-13101r poly tie rod end boots $3.95
7) 1 ptp-7-304 poly rear control arm bushings $29.95 < (for an '84 - '87
8 ) 1 ptp-7-502 poly cradle mount kit $47.95 < (for an '84 - '87 of course)
9) Dorman plugs for the oil cooler delete $10.95
10) Idler pulley from the astro van 89015 $11.70
11) Camaro air intake tube for hooking to the stock air can $19.95
12) New water pump (not installed) $50
13) Reman starter $60
-- -- ---------------------
1302.95 so far

14) Haynes 1991 DeVille manual
15) 1991 Deville Factory Service Manual
16) 1991 DeVille 4.9 and 4T60e with 109k ( The motor was listed "grade a" on car-part and "runs good" on the receipt. He said he pulled the oil filter bypass valve but hadn't drilled out the openings (personally I think I'd put the valve back in & run an oil cooler, since it's already plumbed for one). He also said he did a compression test when he got it and everything seemed in order.
17) Original Deville ECM & harness.

All you should need to get is axles & do the exhaust, & hook everything up. Should be bolt-in, plug-&-play.
I'll take $1200 for everything. That's like getting the engine, trans, manuals, & a several parts for free. :D

I'm up I-85 near Commerce - exit 149, less than ten miles off of the interstate.
Email me & I'll send you directions & phone #. You should come up & see my projects anyway. ;)
