When you dim or brighten your interior lights, do they dim in a linear fashion?

No.  Mine dim in a luminous fashion.  :D
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

If I turn my dimmer a quarter of the way, the lights should dim half as much as if I turn the dimmer half way, right?

The lights do not all dim at the same rate.

There seems to be a delay in the dimming of the radio, as if maybe there is a small capacitor holding power for a bit.

I've never paid attention to whether it's proportionate or not.
