so...iv got a problem...
« on: August 25, 2012, 04:39:39 pm »
Ok so as Pat and Charlie know my car spun out on the way home from the last trial run. It hit a curb not all that hard but was enough to knock the alignment out. I took it to a shop and had the alignment set and they said they could only set it so much and were not able to set it any more. I took it back today and asked they to take a look and show me whats is bent (because last time the told jen something in the suspension was bent, then told me the frame was bent) and now the store manager refuses to look at it and show me and refuses to give me any ideas on places to take it to...So does anyone know of any body shop that works on frames that we can trust with our fieros? Or iv also been told might as well get a different fiero...which honestly would break my heart.

You could take it to the Kauffman tire shop near my house. They will show you what's bent, because they did on my 88. One of the trailing arms (only 88's have them) was bent. I removed it and hammered it straight, and put it back on. Good as new.
Rodney Dickman sells suspension parts that allow more adjustment than stock. Depending on what's wrong, he may have something that will allow you do do a good alignment.

870 Oak Rd
Lawrenceville, GA. 30044
Ph. 770-979-6347

And if you have a complaint against any Kauffman store, the corporate office will try to make it right. I had a Kauffman store cross-thread a lug nut once (not the store near my house), and the lug broke when I tried to remove it. Corporate sent me enough money to get a new wheel bearing (Fiero rear).

I see you found help & there was no frame damage. If you'd like to bring it out here to work on it let me know - I'll be glad to help (& of course I have all the tools).
