PHOTOS FROM FEB EVENT:

Amazing... I hear that the event topped 1,000 cars again today, despite the cold and wind.

Mine was the only "Fiero." :- (

AutoTrader Classics purchased the event and have been very low-key about it.

I see, however, that they already have a classic car show scheduled in the Ga World Congress Center for May 18=19, called "Octane 2013."

Met their marketing guy today, who now is in charge of the event; super nice guy, so I hope they maintain the informality of this great event!

Beautiful pictures, Tim.  Saw a few cars like I've owned in the past.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

its not fare
here is a car doesn't have doors or a windscreen or lights of any kind
There is No change your allowed to drive it on a public road
If a car has any modifications other that when it rolled off the assembly line, it requires an engineering certificate  to be allowed to drive it on any road.
You guys seem to be able to drive what you want any where any time

That isn't entirely correct, because cars have to meet certain safety standards.  Home built cars are classified as experimental and there are some things you can get by with.  Lights, wipers, horn and 'windscreen' are required on all vehicles legally driven on the roadway, other than ATV's and cycles aren't required to have 'windscreens' or wipers.

Some of those cars may have been trailered in.

Here in North Carolina you don't need a windshield or doors but you need headlites and tail lites.....
