how do i release the firewall engine harnesses?
« on: November 26, 2014, 05:48:35 pm »
What kind of trickery is holding the firewall engine harness to the socket?  I don't want to man handle the 30year old plastic and i can't seem to figure out how to release the thingy-whopper locking it in!
Any tricks and tips would be much appreciated!

There's a little plastic clip which can be slid towards the passenger side (I think), and once that is done, the harness can be fed into the engine compartment. Remove the ALDL connector, the connector on the ECM, and whatever else is connected under the center console, and feed it all though the hole into the engine compartment.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.
