I have never had a problem with my car other than overheating once on Wayah Road during a scouting run.  Got behind a couple of slow vehicles on that long climb.  I bring this stuff along to help others.  Formula Owner, I would need to bring you along to carry my tire should I have a flat.

Front wheel bearings should be checked for play on 84-87 models and retorqued if there is any play.

Regarding the fire extinguisher, this is a handy universal seat rail mount for fire extinguishers.  It adjusts for most seat rails and fire extinguishers.  It can be mounted on the front of the passenger side seat rail.  The seat may not slide fully forward, but there's very little need for the passenger to move fully forward.  Faster access than going after one that's behind a seat or in a compartment and its charge condition is readily visible.

Have you tried it?

I haven't, but someone on PFF did.  That's where I learned about it.  A little pricey at around $60/

PFF has lots of ads for it.  I could not figure out how to make it fit in a Fiero.

My extinguisher sits between the passenger seat and the side of the car.

That's where I have mine, but it's caused my lower trim to break.  I believe the extinguisher mount hooks inside the lip of the lower rail.

Hmmm.  I'll have to check on that issue.

Mine has not broken--yet.  No wear marks yet, either, but I have only driven about 15K miles with it there.
