I've been trying different cruise stalks, and have come to the conclusion that the controls are not optimally placed.  Either the cruise functions need to move to the steering wheel, or they need to be placed differently on the stalk.  The stalk itself is poorly positioned, IMHO.  Has anyone tried to relocate any of this?

Long years ago I remember seeing an aftermarket cruise that had a keypad with the functions.  It could be placed in a variety of places, depending upon the vehicle.

This is one of those things that is a matter of taste. Personally, I like the Fiero cruise controls much better than the steering wheel controls on my Ford Escape.

You wouldn't like to rotate the stalk, or move it up a bit?

Only problem I have with it is that it's just a little too close to the steering wheel, but that does allow one to keep both hands on the wheel when they operate the high and low beam.  My daughters old Santa Fe required you to turn loose of the wheel with one hand.  Too far away.
