After I posted that question, it occurred to me that the most obvious answer was that no project is ever finished.

I'm with you, though.  3 years and counting, on mine.   I'm ready to enjoy.

Paul, when you get it finished, the finishing touch should be a set of wheelie bars.  I have no doubt that it will be able to pull wheelies with the 283 in the back.

Not to mention the fiberglass hood, fenders, & bumpers - very light in the front. Would have some folks scratching their heads, though, seeing wheelie bars on what they're assuming is still a front wheel drive car...  ;D

I see FWD cars with flame decals by the rear wheels.  Years ago, I bought an engine and transmission for $100, and a Taurus without for $300.  With help, the dngine and transmission were installed into a FWD Taurus.  I was asking $1,000 for the complete car.  No takers.  One of the helpers lifted the read about 2".  The car then sold for $1,100.
