If you're dropping the cradle, you may as well do whatever you have to so you won't ever have to drop the cradle again. I'm not a mechanic, in case that isn't obvious.
My Fiero has under 60K on the clock. No leaks, but while the cradle is out, it will get new gaskets, new water pump, new oil pump, new fuel pump, new brake lines and hoses, new AC compressor, new alternator, new cat, and new muffler.
Rarews66 has some low-mileage cars that I think he has/had to rebuild. My experience is that, if it's been setting, the fluids need to be replaced and the rubber anything needs to be replaced.
