Valve Cover bolts
« on: January 30, 2017, 12:29:57 pm »

I am in need of one of the strange bolts that holds down the 2.8L Valve Covers (These things: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqiIfeL8iBo).

All I need are the bolts with the weird cover that slides on the bolt.  Not the Valve Cover themselves.

Please PM me if you have a few to spare.

BTW, already tried Pullapart.  Plenty of 3.1s, 3.4s, 3800s, and a few Northstars.  Nothing for our 2.8s.

Now with a trailer hitch for my bike rack.

Paul, do you have one you can post  picture of?  I have bunches and bunches of bolts and screws.  Maybe I have one in the boxes and jars.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

You're making me hungry.

That looks like a jacket, but what is the actual name of that part?

Don't know the actual name.  Just a bolt & cover used to hold down the rocker covers as seen here http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/192087407486?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true

There are 6 per cover.

I went through my boxes and jugs of bolts and screws and have nothing that would work.  I have valve covers but no bolts.
