the pipe was not hard to replace....once the wheel well, air box and air cleaner where removed. the only mounting points are three screws at the filler head, behind the cover and cup, then the two associated hoses on the back of the tank.
the frame rails are surprisingly solid. I was surprised to find no rust on them, but there is rust around where the air ducting comes through the sheet metal between the engine bay and exterior. i cut and treated affected areas.....then buttoned everything back up.
The biggest thing was figuring out which way twist the pipe to get it out, then the new one in, as it is plumbed in through a cavity inn the space frame....I'm glad to see that all my hours playing Tetris finally paid off!
