Thanks for the link.

If you've never seen the testing done, it's kindof cool to watch, but takes a long time.  They test for a variety of factors.

I must've missed the info in Tech Tips on the NAPA part.

There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

There is a 1 or 2 inch hose on the output end of the pump that usually turns to jelly as a result of ethanol.  Replacement pumps may have ethanol resistant hoses, meaning they resist from the inside but may not have ethanol submersible hoses, meaning they also aren't affected on the outside surfaces.  Unless the pump and hose have been replaced, no ethanol would probably be best for the rubber parts or purchase the submersible hose from NAPA.  I assume that would affect the regulator diaphragm and injector seals, too.  Sometimes the pulsator seal is mush from ethanol contact so people don't replace it.

The Duchess' link is no longer valid but you can go to www.pure-gas.com and find all stations listed by state/city/brand/address.  Four in Cartersville but no QT among them.

I replaced the pump in October. The pump came with a little piece of hose, but I don't know if it is rated "submersible" or not. Maybe I should go back to Auto Zone and ask if they have specifics.

I also replaced the hoses that goes from the small diameter hard lines on top of the tank. I can't remember if I replaced the larger diameter hose that goes from the filler pipe into the tank.

I really don't want to drop that tank again... Dropped it four times before replacing all the interior wiring, which ended my fuel pump problems.

You might get a better answer from the distributor or manufacturer.  I would hope that given the general use of E10 that they would provide submersible hose.    But think about it---our non ethanol  resistant hose has held up for all these years.  Probably not worth dropping the tank again just for that.  But if for any reason it needed dropped in the future, it maybe should be replaced with known submersible hose.

...

Then again, I've also heard of people replacing fuel pumps and using the supplied hose, and having the hose fail in just a few months.
So, basically, it's a crapshoot.

Yeah, I think that's what prompted Dennis LaGrua's post.  But his post was 11 years ago.  Hope they've improved by now.

If you get the hose, supply a part number.

Yes.  I think it's 5/16" hose.  Comes in 1 foot lengths on a blister pack card.  Expensive.  About $16 per foot.

My fuel pump came from TFS.  I wonder if it is the correct spec or not.

It's worth $16 to me not to pull the tank again.

Sure is.  Took me and Roger 2 days to replace the pump on the Fastback Formula.  Would have probably been longer if Raydar had not answered my question right away.

More ethanol and other substances are supposed to be being added to gasoline, this summer.
