This sounds very much like my unsolved issue. I went through a ton of trouble shooting and parts replacement but since I. Prepping a swap I kinda set it aside for a bit.

I have many pictures to post, and will post them soon, but right now I'm so tired I can't think straight.
My car is still in North Carolina. The transmission died, and I had t park it at a roadside store in the middle of no where. The lady who owned the store was very nice. i rode the rest of the run and the way home with Charlie (Thanks!).

I'd look to the ignition coil first.  They can break down and cause problems when they're hot.  When they cool they will run fine until they heat up again.  After that, I'd look at the distributor.  Namely the ignition module and the pickup coil.  You can have the ignition module tested at the parts store.  Be sure to have them put a power load on it at least 3 times.  They act similar to the coil when they heat up and cool down.  The pickup coil can be tested with an ohmmeter.  I don't know what the resistance should be but it can be found in some of the manuals.

I don't believe it's fuel related.  If it were starving for fuel, you probably would have seen bright red exhaust manifolds.

I'm sorry to hear about the mechanical misfortunes.
I hope everyone had a safe trip, and a good time, other than the obvious. Wish I could have been there, but circumstances threatened to make it quite "uncomfortable", if not prohibitive.
And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

If you're joining us for the October C&C, I'll bring your shirts.  Hope you're doing better, Steve.

Any ideas on what I should look at?  Plugs are good and wires are good.
My Fiero has stranded me 3 times. One time I verified that it was a pickup coil. The other two times... I replaced the pickup coil among other things. I suspect the pickup coil was the culprit all three times. I'd recommend replacing that first. They're cheap. Also, after getting stranded, and getting towed, it would crank the next day.

Just as a financial note, when I blocked the rooms at Edgewater Inn, we had to pay a $250 security deposit.  If we didn't cancel on time or there was no property damage, we would be refunded the deposit.  I received the full refund yesterday.
