Condensation swap?
« on: July 20, 2019, 08:15:04 pm »
While driving my Fiero today, I noticed that, with the HVAC on, the windshiels would alternately condense and decondense, probably almost in 1 second, over and over.  I have a suspicion, but what would cause this?

Did it correspond with the cycling of your compressor?

Not that I could tell.  The compressor is only 2 years old.  Not that that means anything, anymore.

Surely the compressor doesn't cycle every second.

How is your eyesight?

Just wondering if you're face was really close to the windscreen... Breath. :0)

I was sitting all the way back.  Seat all the way back.  My daughter also saw it.

The AC condenser is actually supposed to remove moisture from the air and let it drain out the bottom of the HVAC core box.  That's why the AC runs when you activate the Defrost function.  If you begin to get a film on the windshield, you have a leak in your heater core.

2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I was afraid of that, or that heat is getting by the flap.  Only does it when AC is on, thus far.

Well, not that.  Worse.  Only noticeable when defrosters are on
