How hard is it to replace the mode actuators?

For me, the first difficulty would be to identify what they are, then where they are.  ;D

Mode actuators control the air flow for the HVAC system.  They are at the HVAC ducting.

It would probably be easiest to remove the complete dash.  Don Hulse told me they aren't that easy to change, but I don't know how he was doing it.  Even with the dash removed, there's still a good bit of the ductwork still attached to the front bulkhead.

I'm told that they can be partially accessed, by removing the part of the heater/aircond housing that is in the front compartment.
Haven't actually tried it, however.
I think Roger had a "go-round" with his.
