Ground strap preference?

I have 2 new ground straps.  One is silver-colored; the other is copper.  Which is better?

It's difficult to judge which would last longer based on oxidation, but for conductivity, check the resistance between the ends with an ohm meter.

The silver one looks blah.  The copper one is very shiny.  The installed one looks like dirt.

The silver one is narrow.  The copper one is wide.  The installed one is slightly wider than the silver one.  The installed one is copper.  Not sure if it's stock, or not.  Supposedly, that strap was replaced in 2016.

Maybe my meter is not sensitive enough.  At 200 Ohms, it shows .5 on both.

.5 ohms should be right for a stranded ground strap. You don't want the ground strap generating heat and that is what resistance will do. The heat is the result of voltage that develops due to the resistance. The voltage needs to be where it is useful and not at any point in a ground strap.
