TAD, this one is about in your price range, but a little far.  Silver, notchback, V6.

I noticed a date of 2014 on some of the pictures.  Not sure what's up with that.

In other words, we know what it looked like in 2014. We have no idea what it looks like now.
The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play.

Yeah.  As it appears, If everything else checks out, I wouldn't pay more than $2,600, but that's just me.

I found that one a while back.  Not sue when, but yes it is just way too far away.  The cost to collect would be over $1000.  I would rather add that grand to the purchase of a nicer local car.

I patient but some days I am like "what is up with all the GT's"  seems like everything for sale is either 86-88 GT's or 4cyl cars.

Many Fiero shows have Fieros for sale.

I'll keep looking.

Is Chicago too far?  Not all Fieros there are rust buckets.

For the right car I'd go just about anywhere. Rust free, black, 5 speed, grey interior, under 100k miles and few alterations id consider almost any state not too far.  So many have owners personalized touches that really put me off.  I'd consider one with a well done engine swap.  But not a fan of somebody else's funky interior or body mods. I'd like to do this once and get the right car the first time and not have to build it out of what I could get because I got impatient.   It's real tempting to get a gt and convert to notchie and formula nose but I'm going to hold out.  I'm gonna wait and see what come up for sale this year.  If by next Christmas nothing is found I may look into converting a 3800 swapped gt.
