Oil pan compatibility

Will the '88 crank clear the '85-'86 oil pan?  I'm thinking the crank will hit.

All the V6 pans are interchangeable if you use the correct timing cover.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

In theory, but I read that there was an issue clearing the baffle for the crank.

The only baffle clearance issue that I know of is that when you use a 3.4 high volume oil pump, some of the baffle needs to be trimmed.  The only differences in the crankshafts is the reluctor wheel on the 88.  I would suspect it's actually smaller in diameter than the throw of the rod journals.
