Jack Stand Recall
« on: April 09, 2020, 07:52:09 am »
Harbor Freight Tools is recalling 454,000 Pittsburgh Automotive 6 Ton Heavy Duty Steel Jack Stands, part number 61197.  They say the lock doesn't sufficiently engage the ratchet teeth and it may fall.

They are replacing the stands with a gift card equal to the current shelf price of the item.  Contact your Harbor Freight Store for return instructions.
There are three kinds of men:

1.    The ones that learn by reading.
2.    The few who learn by observation.
3.    The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves.    Will Rogers

I had a pair of the 3 ton, they were crap.  I gave them away for scrap, they would fall if you looked at them wrong (really just a bump would do it) just having a rear end not attached to a car stored on them.
