Non-Fiero car mechanic Newnan area?
« on: April 02, 2021, 10:39:40 pm »
Here is the deal, I am still in New Mexico getting the house ready to sell while my wife is in Newnan working as an RN. Our Hyundai Sonata has developed a wobble from the front right. I believe it is a bearing. Is there a trust worthy mechanic any of you suggest for her to bring the car to that is not going price gouge us? Thank you in advance

Wow... I'm happy that she's okay, after the tornado. It made a huge mess out of a large portion of the town. But you already know that.
I'm not too far from there, but unfortunately, I can't recommend anyone. They only place we have dealt with is Roy's Tire in Carrollton. They are not the cheapest, but have been around forever, and get really good reviews. They have done right by us, but all we have done is buy tires. (even a pair for the Fiero.)
Their page lists suspension and front end work. Maybe give them a call?  https://roystirecenter.com/ They are not open on Saturday, however.

Are you moving to Newnan? Surrounding area? (We're in Roopvile. North Heard County.)
Oh... stay far away from Mavis tire. They offer discount prices, but will try to upsell you for unnecessary work, and bend you over.

Thank you for the heads up. I will give them a call Monday.

Newnan is going to be our first area to look for a home. I want some land to build a shop this time around. We may push out further to some other areas though.

I was actually there for the tornado. It literally dissipated about a mile from my wife's sisters house (wife is staying with them till we get a house). Crazy night for sure.

I'm happy that it missed you. It also missed some friends of ours by about >-< that much. Actually took the tops out of some of their trees, on its way out.
Check out Roopville / Centralhatchee / Heard County if you're not "married" to Newnan. Still a fairly reasonable commute.
